Cote des Basques - A sufers dreams
Wealthy surfer? Great, because the magnificent beach at Biarritz, on France's Basque coast, is known as La Côte des Basques and has long been a playground for wealthy people and surfers. It's considered as one of the finest beaches in Biarritz, a resort known for it's authencity. Here you'll meet many crowned heads and maby a famous movie star , but you'll also discover that this area is absolutely Basque.
This is also the beach that holdes the Roxy Pro Ladys ASP World Tour Competition
You don't want to miss Cote des Basques! It's a magnificent stretch – long, a little wild and backed by unkempt cliffs. I've been told that euro-surfing started right here in 1957.
