There are alot of different hotels in Biarritz

Every time im going down to Biarritz, I have the same problem, where shell I stay.
During the last 15 years that I have been a regulary visitur to the beaches of Biarritz, there have also allways been the same problem, how can I find a hotel that´s good and close to the beache??? This is not that simple, well if you have a lot of money its not a problem. There are alot of different hotels in Biarritz, Anglet and Bayone. They have all kinds of quality, and have good or bad locations. From my point of view now its a mather of what you aiming to do in the town. |
There are allways a problem of parking in this city, there for i have been, for a couples of years choosed to find and stay at hotels that have walking distance to one of the surfspots in Biarritz.
But during the last years i have styed at hotels rader long away from the beches and than used a rental car for the transport. This works to, but is a bit more fix and trix with planing and watching the waves.
So my recomendation to you is not that easy, close to the beach gives you the following advances:
1. You can see the swell and decide if you are going to surf or stay in bed
2. You are close to the restaurants
3. You are also close to the night life
4. You dont need a car
5. You dont need to find parking for your car...
The down sides of stying at a hotel close to the Biarritz beach are:
1. Usually the hotells are expensive
2. usually you dont get the standard that you where hoping for
3. Usually the hotel is in bad conditions
4. Usually it is longer to the beach than you hoped for
5. Usually you want to go to different beaches during your stay in Biarritz
If you think that staying at a hotel in Biarritz is to expensive read about staying at the Hostel or stying at one of the Campings in Biarritz. One other wery good alternative is to stay in a Appartment in Biarritz.
